On 6th and 7th December 2024 the 30th Annual Festival of Folk and Tribal Cultural Centre was held in Lokgram of Kolkata. Hon'ble Minister and ChairPerson of FTCC of Smt Beerbaha Hansda, Hon’ble Minister and member of Ftcc, Sri Parikhit Bala, Vice - Chairman of FTCC and Dr. Barun kumar Chakraborty, member of FTCC, was present on 6th December in the inauguration programme on the first day of the festival. The programme started with the felicitation of the invited guests and by lighting of the lamp. Sri Pintu Das Baul from Birbhum performed Baul Gaan. A thanks giving speech given by the Secretary of FTCC, Sri Kaustav Tarafdar.
On 6th December the first day of the festival programmes held were Baul Gaan from Birbhum, Bhawaiya Gaan from Cooch Behar, Bono Bibir Pala from South 24 Parganas, Dance of Santhal Community and Raibenshe Nritya from Hooghly. On 7 th December programmes held were Fakiri Gaan from Nadia, Bijoy Geeti from North 24 Parganas, Putul Natak from Purba Medinipur, Halua- Haluani Pala from Uttar Dinajpur and Chhau Dance from Purulia. The total number of participating artistes was 114 in this festival.
