Among the various cultural traits of Bengal Nakshi Kantha of Bengal occupies a distinct place.From 2 October - 6 October 2024 from 2 p.m to 9 p.m in Gaganendra Shilpa Pradarshashala Folk and Tribal Cultural Centre organised a five day exhibition and sale of Bengal Nakshi Kantha. The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister and Chairperson of Folk and Tribal Cultural Centre Smt Beerbaha Hansda. From different districts of West Bengal- Murshidabad, Nadia, Birbhum, Purba Bardhaman, Paschim Medinipur and South 24 Parganas 12 artists participated in this exhibition and sale. About an amount of Rupees 28 Lakhs 50 thousand articles was sold in this five day exhibition and sale.
