Like every year 'Mahanayak Samman' programme was held on 24th July, 2023 at Dhana Dhanya Auditorium to commemorate the death anniversary of Matinee idol Uttam Kumar. Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee and many other eminent personalities were present in the programme. To receive them one thousand two hundred (1200) folk artistes under LPP, four (400) each from North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas and Howrah districts displayed their diversified colourful performances.
