47th Kolkata International Book Fair organized by the Publishers and Book Sellers Guild was held from 18th - 31st January, 2024 at Central Park, Salt Lake. Fifty (50) folk artistes of different folk forms with the colourful dresses and traditional instruments from North 24 Parganas received Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee, who inaugurated the West Bengal Pavilion on 18th January, 2024. From 19th - 31sy January, 2024 , Baul song was performed by the folk artistes from North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Hooghly, Purba Bardhaman and Howrah districts, Bhatiali song by the artistes from North and South 24 Parganas districts, Tarja by the artistes from South 24 Parganas and Bhatiali song by the artistes from Purba Bardhaman districts. In total one hundred thirty four (134) folk artistes participated in the programme during the fair.
